The Punch Regio Edición Limitada is the third limitada cigar from 2017 to be released. It is the cheapest one of the three limitadas and is also the smallest format.
The Punch Regios comes in the distinctive maduro wrappers that all Limitadas are treated to. The wrapper has a minimum aging of 2 years and gives this medium sized cigar loads of strength for a truly unforgettable smoke.
The Punch Regios de Punch comes in a Hermosos Especial vitola. This is the second time the Punch brand has been selected to wear the prestigious Limitada golden band, the first time being in 2013 with the Punch Serie D’Oro. The ring gauge of the Punch Regios is 48. So not such a large ring gauge, but not a small cigar by any means.
The Punch Region Edición Limitada 2017 come in a wooden cabinet of 25 cigars. This is an ideal format for collectors to age the cigars. It is also in the convenient amount of 25 cigars which allows you to sample some cigars while you let the rest age.
Out of the three limitadas the Punch Regio, might be the most under rated cigar of them all. It is definitely a smaller cigar than the Cohiba Talisman or the Partagas Serie N1, but still, surprisingly, delivers a large amount of smoke. It starts smooth but with loads of character. You can feel the strength of the maduro leaves straight away! It is a cigar that keeps on developing and when you are in the last third you are just hoping it will not finish so fast. The Punch Regio has already loads of character but has loads of potential to age.
As with all limitadas, these cigars are limited to the year of production and will soon be gone. Currently you may find single cigars, fiver packs and full cabinets at Montefortuna Cigars at unbeatable prices. So hurry, before it is too late!
